Hello!

UPDATE: THESE PRODUCTS NOW CONTAIN GLYCERIN. PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK INGREDIENTS LISTS AS COMPANIES DO CHANGE PRODUCT FORMULAS.

I have oily/combination skin. I also get hormonal acne thanks to my PCOS. Slowly I’m finding a skin care routine that addresses all my skin issues, which can be tricky with some of my allergies.

The two biggest allergies I have to be mindful of with my skin care are glycerin and aspirin/salicylic acid. Unsurprisingly, glycerin is in most cleansers. Because of my salicylic acid allergy, I can’t use the majority of cleansers designed for acne treatment.

I use Youth To The People Kale Superfood Cleanser. I love that it’s not drying like other cleansers can be for me. That’s lead to an improvement in my skin texture. It’s also vegan and made in the USA.

I also use the Drunk Elephant Juju Bar. It’s the only other cleanser that I’ve found that is also completely free of glycerin in any form. I like that it’s a cleanser and exfoliator in one. I tend to use the Juju Bar when traveling because it’s one less liquid thing to worry about, especially when flying. It too is made in the USA.

Have you found any other cleansers that are glycerin free that you would recommend I try?
