Hello!

Welcome to my blog about living glycerin free and being an awesome stay-at-home cat mom.

What am I up to today?

What am I up to today?

I usually set aside 2 hours to work on each blog post. Why so much time? Because there’s research to be done on ingredients lists, mainly. So. Many. Ingredients. Lists….

I may only mention a few products in a post, but there are at least 3-4 others that I consider mentioning. For each product I talk about, I have to double check that all the ingredients are indeed glycerin free. Sometimes it turns out that something does have an alternative name for glycerin or one of it’s derivatives in it. This blog has been a learning experience for me. It’s also made me much better about making sure everything I use is free of glycerin.

Today has been spent emailing a skin care line I just learned about yesterday. I’m interested in trying their products because they have a lot aimed at acne. Also they are vegan, cruelty free, all natural ingredients, and made in the USA. You know I like all those things. Hopefully they will get back to me soon about the specifics of one of their ingredients that could potentially contain glycerin. I’m really curious to try a cystic acne spot treatment they make.

I’m always on the look out for new skin care and makeup to try. One of my goals is to have a guide to various types of skin care products at varying price points. This morning I started testing a new exfoliator. I prefer to use something for at least a month before recommending it. I need to make sure my skin doesn’t react badly after repeated exposure.

I just added a master list of alternative names for Glycerin and it’s derivatives to the blog. I will admit I did it for selfish reasons. I wanted a list that was easy to access while shopping in stores and online. I’m sure others will find it handy too.
