Hello!

Welcome to my blog about living glycerin free and being an awesome stay-at-home cat mom.

What to do with my makeup collection?

What to do with my makeup collection?

I love makeup. Especially lipstick and eyeshadow. I’ve gotten quite the collection over the years. Unfortunately most of it is not completely glycerin free.

Doing my test of the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara with the Viseart Petite Pro 1 palette, it made me realize I need to switch all my makeup to 100% glycerin free sooner rather than later. My eyes are so much more comfortable the days I use those two products.

So, I bit the bullet and took a hard look at all the makeup I own. I pulled out anything I hadn’t used yet. Then I checked the ingredients lists for all those products to see if they would make the cut to continue on in my makeup collection. Very few passed the zero glycerin test.

I decided to post all the makeup that didn’t make to cut to Poshmark. Hopefully earn some money to invest in a makeup collection that is 100% glycerin free. I’m still in the process of posting products and I’ve already had a few sell. I can’t wait until all that makeup I can’t use is out of my home.

I’m going to miss a number of the makeup products I’m selling. There’s some fantastic stuff in there, including the backups for my Limited Edition Besame Agent Carter makeup collection. But there was so much I wasn’t using. Some hadn’t even been swatched.

It’s wild that testing a new mascara has me rethinking what I want to do with my makeup collection going forward. Besides making sure I avoid all allergens, I want a much smaller, better curated collection. This has definitely given me food for thought.
